Just to refresh your memory: There are 10 types of people, those who understand binary and those who don't.

This was part of a post on this weekends most viewed thread, I hope it is now in the right section.

Is that because it is binary 10....I understood it years ago but not sure now.

What was the post, I haven't seen it!

It was to do with forum etiquette Cath, and it got somewhat diverted!

All sorted now though.

OK now pay attention at the back.

Binary is made up of two digits, one and zero. The table below shows the numbers 1 to 10 in binary. The binary number 10 (one zero) represents 2 in decimal so therefore when somebody says there are 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.......well I think tou get the gist.
0 0
1 1
2 10
3 11
4 100
5 101
6 110
7 111
8 1000
9 1001
10 1010

All clear now I hope. [:p]

I shall test you all on it soon [:D]

Oh Helen!

It's so easy, tell you what, just Google 'the binary system' and all will become crystal clear.

The crux of it is that 10 in binary language is 2 in the decimal lingo.

I wouldn't worry about it Helen! I knew, but I've managed to get through nearly 35 years without ever using the binary system!
