I enjoy my job most of the time, Tuesday I have my observation, they watch me teach, that annoys me surely the exam results speak for themselves...

That would drive me nuts as well Lesley.

The job I do has changed so much over the time I have been doing it. We are constantly monitored now. I can't wait to retire for good.

It's all about monitoring now I agree Jan with a lot of jobs and giving more responsibility without the title or pay.

I'd hate being monitored Lesley...but you have nothing to worry about.

I'm seriously thinking of changing careers or in the least employer. I use to really love my job but its so stressful now.

We're having a new learning centre built, it will host a food hall etc., so I'm looking for a new role with the same employer hopefully early next year. I'm thinking of giving up teaching, target, achievement and retention you can only hear so many times before you want to scream.

there will be a marketing department and I do enjoy that I have another event coming up in March that I'm doing solo this time. I do enjoy it but wonder if at 48 I'm too old to get qualified in this area. I think using the quals I have I could go into any area of admin as I teach IT to level 3 now. A nice receptionist job would suit me fine.

I just cannot wait to retire now - I think 40 years of non stop working is enough!

Lesley you are not too old!!! I wonder if a receptionist job would be challenging enough for you???

Dominic what is your job?

Jan, I bet you can't wait to retire, now if only you could win the euro lottery [:D]

What is your ideal job?

If I could afford to I'd be an author and surround myself with books.

My absolute dream was to be an archaeologist!

I have always loved books, I can get through three or four a week.

I'd love to be able to write.
