Hi I've been in an IVA for a year and half and have been told I may be being made redundant soon. I was thinking about going back to study a masters degree for two years where I would get a bursary and also work part time so that I could start a new career. Am I able to do this with an IVA or do I have to wait until its complete? thanks

How would this plan affect your ability to make your IVA payments Helen? And how much redundancy money can you expect to receive?

Hi thanks for replying, I wouldnt get any redundancy money. I would have to work around studying and I would also receive a bursary for studying. If I could some how make up the amount I am currently paying do you think I would be able to do this?

I think tha tyou would be able to do this, and also it may be possible for you to reduce your payments given your change in circumstances.
