I would be very wary of companies that approach you directly. Where have they got your information from, one wonders, as cold calling people to provide debt advice is actually not allowed in the UK.

I would seek advice directly from an insolvency practitioner, who can carefully explain all of the options to you so that you can understand the advantages, disadvantages and implications of each one.

I've not heard of them either, and I would certainly not recommend going with someone who cold calls you.

Visit www.iva.com for a list of companies and reviews. Give one or two a ring and you will receive free and impartial advice as to all the options open to you.

Don't go with the first company who approaches you - you need to be happy with the company you use.

Talk to 2 or 3 and try and contact them after, that's a key to a good IP they are contactable.
