My friend has just recently started an I've itseen for 5 years with the payment being £118 a month she has made 4 payments at £222 per month.
However for the same debt she has bean paying for the last 8 years in 1 scheme or another I wonder if the advice she has received has been in her best intrests !! It will be 12 years that she will have to pay.with all the pressure she just conforms to what the company tells her to do.. is there any recall to a company if the advice she is given is wrong

Are you sure it is an IVA and not a Debt Management Plan?

Your friend should seek independent advice from an insolvency firm as this sounds like debt management to me.

A good firm will look at all the circumstances and tell her the options ... it is for her to choose which one, if there is more than one suitable.
