Depends on what you are renting and if you need to pass a credit check (which you will not). Most of us in an IVA who rent our homes need to either remain put until after the IVA leaves our records, rent privately ( not through an agency), produce a larger deposit / advance rent (not easy to do when insolvent) or provide a guarantor.

You are absolutely right Foggy.
We are going through this now as our landlord have decided to sell the house that we live in.

Ive asked few Letting agents and some of them said that they will get back to us (which never happened) but mostly I got a response that we need to get a guarantor and if we have one, they will speak to the landlord about the fact we are in IVA and let him decide. Ive got 2 months now to move ourt and didnt find anything suitable yet so 2 stressfull months in front of me.

It is unfortunate that landlords and agencies will discriminate against those in IVAs. Take Foggy's advice about renting privately without using an agent and a reference from your current landlord may be enough.
