I was in DMP for six years repaid 23K back in 2015 husband lost his job when the DMP was reviewed due to lower payments the end date was 2029 . Husband is alcoholic therefore he is not contributing all of his income to the household budget. He only works 30 hrs per week. Done a joint iva to protect house because husband is was not reliable to make payments. mentally I am drained cant cope because I am constantly worried about IVA . Total to pay back is £100 per month started payments July 2016 .

The hard part has been done. As long as you can manage the payments and abide by the terms you have agreed to, all should be fine. Many of us found it easier to live within an IVA that to live hand to mouth in debt. The imposed framework makes things simpler at least once you have settled into it.

You are clearly under some stress and with the added worries of your husbands dependency on alcohol it won't be easy. As foggy says often once agreed the iva is relatively easy but for you and your circumstances its clear some additional support is needed for you and for your husband if he is willing to accept help.

Have you been to your GP to gain some support through counselling? Maybe seek medical support to help alleviate your high levels of anxiety ... I know it is easier said than done, but often sharing your concerns with someone outside of the loop helps and starts to show the light at the end of the very dark tunnel ... use us on here to share your concerns if it helps xx

Thank you for your kind thoughts. My situation has been on going for a number of years. Ideally should have done Iva six years ago but we learn it's only when I saw dmp would not end until 2029 I knew I had to take steps to do iva. It's a cloud hanging over me and I can't believe it came to this. I worry did I do the right thing . Time will tell. I have been Gp he is very understanding however he says tablets won't solve my difficulties.

No tablets may not solve it but it may help to make things more manageable and reduce your anxiety and stress levels. I very much doubt your GP has ever experienced what you are going through and therefore doesn't understand fully how you are feeling.
