Should I be using PIP for an IVA ?

It does form part of your income, but should be offset by the expenses it is intended to cover, so as not to form part of your disposable income (IVA payment). However, sometimes it is included because the disposable income would be too low without it (not right -- but circumstances sometimes dictate).

I would question its use in your IVA as PIP is awarded to help you undertake day to day activities with additional support.

If you are being asked to include it in your income then you need to ensure it is clearly listed on your expenditure to counterbalance it.

My husband was on DLA and it was included in his IVA I&E.
