Hi and welcome,

You have approached a good company - which main company have they put you in touch with?

You just have to wait for all of your paperwork to be sorted but they would not be putting anything forward if they did not think it would be accepted.

Hello and welcome. Lately, the majority of proposals for an IVA are accepted, we don't see many refused.

The time does vary, but it usually around 8 weeks. Once creditors get wind, or notice a missed payment they will contact you --- any accounts you have access to online -- go in and remove phone numbers! Those that do phone usually use call centres who have only one aim .... to get a payment. They generally do not know what they are talking about and are sometimes very creative with the facts ! Often, however, if you simply tell them you are going into an IVA and give them your IP's details, they will put a hold on the account and so not bother you too much.

The process should be relatively quick but it does depend on the IP having all the information provided. Best of luck with the meeting of creditors.
