Car insurance company set up cancelled direct debit again without my permission

I cancelled my car insurance direct debit because of buying a new car only to find out the car insurance company set it up again without my permission how's this possible ? How do I complain ? Please advice.

Hi,

It can be set up again, that is the problem with DD. Phone the company up and explain it to them again and ask them to reimburse your money.

This is outside of the remit of this for this forum ... however .... you say you cancelled the DD, but, did you also cancel the insurance with the company ? Ypu cannot cancel car insurance by simply stopping payments and, indeed, might still be liable for the balance of the annual premium, or cancellation charge.
