Look on it like a consolidation loan and tick each month off. At least you know when you will be debt free so there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Well done moira :) i have madde my first payment today as well and 65 to go .. i really enyojed last couple of months I must admit. As there was nothing to pay to no one and I managed to buy the essentials and managed to put some emergency cash aside.
5 and half years sound very long so I think I will count down from 65 .. this is a new beginning for us and I hope we will se it through with no major problems.
Enjoy rest of your day :)

Thank you. Yes exactly as I am treating it ;as a loan time. I read good and bad about iva s but for me was a lifeline and I so appreciate this opportunity. Felt really good today making first payment, finally feel I'm moving forward. Good to hear from you oya , our journey has began! :D

Five years, or so, does sound daunting when looking forward .... but it will be 5 simpler years (surprisingly) than the last few, leading up to the IVA. And, at the end, looking back, it will have passed quite a bit faster than you imagined.

If there are any blips, speak to your providers befire the blip gets out of proportion and .... enjoy the ride :-)
