My ex Husband has an IVA attached to my home that I reside in with our 2 children 10 & 16 . For the past 6 years he hasn't paid anything towards the mortgage so I’m struggling as a single parent. We are going through a divorce but he won’t sign because he says there’s equity in the house that he wants half of. Whilst he was with me he was in and out of jobs so hardly ever contributed to the mortgage at all. What I don’t understand when it come to an IVA company is he is currently sitting on £150k quarter share in a property that was left to him in his fathers will. Why is the IVA Company Aperture not interested in fighting for the money he owes from the £150k and won’t take his name off my property that I am solely paying for? Its this correct? any advise is much appreciated.

I'd be very surprised creditors have allowed him to keep the equity in the property/accept the IVA terms that he can keep the property if they've been told the equity is at that level unless he has sufficient other assets being used to pay off the debts.
