Well done Sean - great news. Now just to wait for it to drop off the register.

Thanks all,

One question. CF said to let Equfax & Experian know. It seems that uploading the CC it a pain as you have to sign up to each in order to get any help, which becomes chargable after 30 days if you forget to cancel. . I've managed to sort Equifax, but Experian is painful - will the records update as a matter of course? If not I'll mail them the CC but would rather not!

You shouldn't need to get involved. The process, which CF do not seem to understand, is that CF issue you with the CC, at the same time they inform the Insolvency Service, who remove you in the fullness of time. The Insolvency Service report to the credit reference agencies, who will mark the IVA as completed. Sometimes it doesn't go tp plan, so worth keeping an eye on it, but it should happen automatically.

Have a read here and also look at the latest entries in my blog ( link in my signature below):-

You can always pay £2 a time for each agency for a one off report.

Thanks guys,

I've read the Blog & the info in the link :) I'll give it a while then check the files, I have no desire for credit anyway as I never have issues with insurance/phones etc.so I don't really need it, but I may at some point get a Vanquis card for petrol etc.

I neither want, nor need, credit. But I got a cc to a) give me a credit history (just in case). b) To use for "big" purchases / holiday payments, etc. where I want the extra protection of the consumer credit act (but haven't had the guts to use it for something that big!) and c) Because I could :-)
