Hello there. My wife and I are very worried as we are struggling to pay our unsecured debts each month. I am not sure if we qualify for an IVA as we were on one before which was fully completed in 2007 but have stupidly both gotten ourselves back in serious credit card debt. We have a mortgage with a little equity but we have been refused a second charge mortgage and consolidation loan by the bank. What is our best way forward without losing our house?

Hi,

You can do another one - speak to another company. Your house should be fine.

As Kallis says you may well be able to enter into another IVA if you feel it is the right option for you. Others have unfortunately found themselves in similar situations and have taken the same course of action.

Best of luck.

As said -- you are not alone ! Speak to a few companies, though, to compare advice and service ( not all firms are equal!).

A second IVA is not uncommon and given the time between the two IVAs it should not be a problem.

Have you spoken to any IPs yet? If not I would be happy to speak to you as I suspect would Michael.
