Hello I'm really worried in that I might be on the verge of being sacked at work. I'm in a iva and don't know how this will effect me and paying the repayments??

Hi,

Sorry to hear this - is it the sack or are you being made redundant?

How long have you been in your IVA for?

You would usually get a six month payment break while you source new employment and a review then carried out. Hopefully you do not lose your job but if the worst comes to the worst you still have options.

Unfortunately, until you know exactly what is going to happen, anything we might come up with is pure conjecture and of little help, but a supportive provider can work around most eventualities.

Sacked and redundancy are very different - as Kallis says, which is it?

I take it you still don't know anything?

If worst comes to worst you need to speak to your IP provider as to a way forward.

Initially you would need to agree a payment break while you sort out new employment --- if that doesn't suffice maybe ask creditors to accept payments made to date (last resort as that would be your final lifeline).
