Ok moving house soon . Long story short how can I do my bit to help protect new house owners of old house getting visits from debt collectors as we all know this still can happen regardless of IVA finished or not. My ex used to get a lot of visits looking for previous owners and they tried making her prove she was not this bloke on their records.

Thanks.

Put a mail redirection order in place, so you can be made aware of any threatened action. A new debt owner, if the debt is sold on ( the usual; cause for this happening), will write first before sending collectors. Then you can inform them of the IVA.
