Could somebody please describe to me the procedure of registering for VAT in the UK? I’m opening a company here and now trying to gather any useful info about the topic now. Or maybe you know a proficient accountant?
I’ve already found a website providing assistance with VAT registration. Looks pretty legit. But I wonder whether there are any steps I have to know prior to hiring a service provider.
I would be very grateful if somebody could answer my question.

If you are forming a company I would suggest you use an accountant from the beginning to keep things right regarding all aspects of tax and company procedures. VAT is a specialised and complicated area and not something that would usually be covered on this forum. Make an appointment with a local accountant and it may be worth ensuring they are chartered and registered auditors.

For a reliable source of information go to the Dot GOV dot UK site -- there are numerous other sites trying to look official, which aren't.

This is not the forum for your question.

I would recommend you instruct an accountant to help you.

Look for a local one in your area.
