I completed an IVA with debt free direct on beginning of August 2014 and had the certificate on 21 August 2014

Today I received a letter and cheque from Debt Free Direct for £200.64 for unclaimed dividends - no details given as to who hasn't claimed. Also stating that after 90 days it will be cancelled.

Also stating any issues cashing the cheque to contact them

What does all this mean and will the cheque bounce and if it did what happens

I imagine it will be ok, but DFD are in administration now having sent their portfolio to Aperture. You can try and cash the cheque and see what happens.

It is, I imagine, what it is --- unclaimed, or returned overpayments of, dividends which are, under the terms and conditions, now yours. Basically the amount involved is not economical to re-distribute to the other creditors/ The cheque should not bounce.

If it is a cheque in your name, your IVA was finalised and it doesn't say about sending to creditors, i would just cash it as per their instruction.

Nice surprise for you - they don't come around very often so wouldn't question it too much!!
