I took out an IVA in June 2010. It was completed in February 2016. Since July 2016 my credit reports have been clear and now all my credit scores are in the good to excellent range. I have saved enough of a deposit to look into buying a house through the shared ownership scheme and I will be a first time buyer.
Will I be able to get a mortgage and where is the best place for me to look for one? I know the shared ownership also makes it more complicated. But the past IVA will be my biggest hurdle.

Hi Clarissa, it's certainly possible, depending of course of your other circumstances. Although your options will still be limited to an extent (which is why I would avoid making random applications to lenders), there should be some good options available to you. Speak to a couple of Specialist Advisers with experience in this field and see what they can do for you.
