A restriction is placed on a property when either yourself or someone you share a property with enters into an iva to ensure if the house is sold it allows for any equity to be considered as part of the persons iva.
Normally the restriction is lifted once the iva is concluded and certificate issued.

Are you sure either parties have never been in an iva?

You need to contact Land Registry to see how this came about and to get it removed.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Who told you about the restriction?

I presume, when you say that an IVA has been registered on your house, that this is a 'restriction' which can normally only be registered against the property with the owner's agreement.

As Foggy says you can contact Land Registry which will show who this has been registered by and then contact them.
