Good morning everyone!
Just wanted to let you know that just 18 months after completing our IVA we have moved into what can only be described as our dream home!
With the help of The Select Partnership, and hardwork to improve our credit scores/history, we got a low fixed rate on a High Street mortgage.
We sold our terraced house and have bought a gorgeous (huge!) 4 bed detached house that a few years ago would have only been a dream.
Thanks to our IVA, this forums experts and posters, and Select, we have learnt to budget. Learnt to communicate about finances. Learnt to save. We couldnt have got this far without the help and advice here.
Anyone in an IVA or starting out, it is hard. You have to train yourself to manage finances differently. You have to enter it and fully commit but my god is it worth it!
Our credit ratings are excellent across the board. Ive spent a year saving little bits to build a kitty to splurge on the new home without it impacting on our general day to day account. I wouldnt have done that few years ago.
Keep at it. Its tough but its do-able and your whole financial health effectively is reset and youre given a new opportunity to get it right.
I only wish I could go to a shop and buy the things Id found few months ago, paint etc!!!! And I want to invite friends amd family round but they’ll have to wait a bit longer!!!!
Have a great day everyone
