hi
my husband has 12 more payments to make on his IVA then he has to pay nine thousand pounds final payment he is in his 4th year of his IVA however the final payment is coming from remorgage of our house the problem is the bank is only willing to lend me 75% of the value of the property and would only be able to generate around six thousand pounds we rang DFD and they were unhelpful any advise and would the credidors accept this he pays £525 per month and has done for 4 years.

Hi Tracy and welcome to the forum. We have a regular poster on the forum who represent DFD. I'm sure he will help you with this post and will be around on Monday I would think.

Hang in there for his reply, his name is Declan. xx

Your IP is being paid to administer your IVA on behalf of the creditors - and should therefore be being as helpful as he/she possibly can. I suggest that you insist on speaking directly to him/her on Monday, and failing that perhpas Declan can intervent.

Hi
I am sure that the 6k will be acceptable as the other alternative of a one year exstension will only net a similar figure.

hi Tracy and well done for getting this far into your IVA. As both Mel and Andy say be strong and ask to speak directly with your IP and hopefully this will be sorted out. I am too with DFD and sometimes but not all they do seem disinterested, however i recently completed an I+E as i had had two pay rises, an incremental one and my annual one, 3 weeks later i recieved a letter asking me to repeat the whole process again for my annual review but i contacted them via email with the above information and also reference to the letter (which this year i had the foresight to ask for) stating 'your annual review has now been done and your new payment etc' lo and behold i got a reply from the supervisary department saying sorted didn't need to fill it in, so try and get past the customer services although good and helpful might not always be correct. good luck and take care. x
Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.

IVA COMPLETED August 2012, received Completion certificate 18.4.13.
