Hi all

I get paid weekly and for over 3 years I’ve been paying overtime into IVA as I should etc. I found a letter from when I started it saying overtime is calculated on 10% over what I earn every month.

So my question is, say I earn one week overtime but none for the next 3 weeks.
My allowance is £38 extra a week. So say one week I get £70 overtime but nothing the next 3 weeks, should I be paying anything at all into Iva?

Sorry my English is not very good

Thanks

You need to ask your IP if they are working on a strictly weekly basis --- which it looks like they are if they have given you a weekly amount for that 10%. So, on the week you get £70 overtime you keep £38 and half of the rest (£16) and pay £16 to the IVA.

Or ....

They might be working on a monthly basis of weekly wage x 52 Divided by 12. So £380 a week is £1646 a month, allowing you a £164 monthly surplus. In this case £70 overtime in that month will not exceed the allowed 10% and you keep it all.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

I will check if I ever get response from them :-) To be fair, I’ve tried to be as honest as possible and in return Payplan (who I use) completely leave me alone.

Thanks for the quick response foggy :-) :D

Do they still do their online accounts Payplan plus? I found that very useful during my IVA and I could also contact my case worker.
