I'm with aperture last July they told me to stop my payments as I will be in my last year so had to remortgage from the beginning I told dfd the previous iva company that I couldn't remortgage they said that was OK I would have an extra year to pay.. That's OK but I've already had to do an extra 2years due to some ppi errors I've now been in my iva for 8years and can't see the end.. I'm starting to panic have emailed and rang constantly I just get an automated email back and no contact since last July I've had 1 letter informing me I need to remortgage and 1phone call from a remortgage company I explained I can't remortgage as my husband won't agree.. Where do I go from here?

I would write, direct to the IP, asking for clarification regarding equity release in your case. I am afraid that the extra year, if it is imposed, will have to be added to the extra years dealing with PPI -- these are seperate issued and both have to be dealt with .... but, there WILL be an end point and you are nearly there.

Mention to the IP that you have had no response to previous queries and expect the situation to be resolved in a timely fashion now. If they fail to get back with a satisfactory response you can then escalate a complaint to their regulatory body via the Government Gateway here: https://www.gov.uk/complain-about-insol ... actitioner
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
