I made my last payment towards my IVA to freeman jones on the 28th July after 7 years which included payment breaks. Can you let me know what happens next please, I am desperate for all of this to end.

Thank you

You should confirm with FJ that they agree it was the last payment and that you can cancel the direct debit / standing order. They will then carry out final admin, which could take a couple of months. This consists of re-checking previous reviews and final accounting of dividends to creditors. Then they will issue you with a completion certificate at which point the IVA is formally over and you are released from your obligations under the arrangement.

Then the recovery process can start and you need to tend to your credit reference files to get back to 'normal'. Have a read here: https://www.iva.co.uk/what-does-an-iva- ... dit-record

Do I have to submit any further documents as when FJ wrote
To me a few months ago for a review I rang them and they told me that I wouldn’t need to do one as i was within the final 12 months. Is that correct?

There should be a final review, but maybe FJ skip it. Most firms want evidence of income, at least, for that final 12 months to ensure that all extra income ( overtime etc.) has been accounted for.

It’s just strange how they told me in April I didn’t have to provide anything yet I’ve received a letter today which is a standard annual review letter (not final) to supply evidence etc. Will ring them tomorrow. Are they open Saturdays 🤔

Not sure of their opening times -- but I doubt it.

I don't think they are either but I would just submit what they want to get rid of it all.

Hi Ceri,

We fully appreciate that you'll want to tie up the end of your IVA as soon as possible. Drop me an email to ian.williams at FreemanJones.com and I'll will ask the Debt Free team where we are at with your closure, and we'll give you a call with an update.

Thank you,

Ian

Hi I’ve contacted FJ today and I’ve submitted payslips for jan to June and I’ve been told that I may have to pay 6 months worth as I did have a pay rise
Last October. As long as I know what needs to be done as there has been some miscommunication where I was informed about not having to submit anything as I was in my final 12 months.
