Hi
I am paying £3000 into my IVA from a refund I have received. I was wondering if it will reduce the amount I have to raise at the end if my IVA through equity in the house. Will it make any difference at all? How will DFD acknowledge this? Should I receive a letter from them saying I have paid it? Sorry for so many questions!!

Hi Natalie,

Unfortunately it won't reduce your equity payment, it will just mean that your creditors get a higher dividend, the IVA will continue as before.

You'll only get a 'reduction' as such if you can manage to pay back 100p in the pound plus the fees.

Not sure if you will hear anything back from DFD, perhaps Declan will pick up on this.
