Sadly my Dad is no longer with us, but I'll say Happy Fathers Day tomorrow to him, he's been gone 12 years this year bless him. He died here in my house and we often talk about him x

Oh bless you Lesley, I couldn't think of a world without my Dad, I'm a proper daddy's girl. Thats why I knew he would be thrilled to see me, my girls and his great grandaughters all together[;)]

Mine will be disappointed that his granddaughter isn't here, but she's left him a card and a pressie.

I'll be thinking about my dad as well Lesley and I'll wish him a Happy Father's Day.

Needless to say Dave's sons haven't bothered sending him a card - it really annoys me as they're quick to ask for money but not so quick to send a card for Father's Day, Christmas or birthday.

Being sad I've got a card for him from Harry!

I think it's a lovely gesture to get Dave a card from Harry especially as his son's haven't. Is there a chance they may hand deliver one Skippy?

I do hope mine have remembered, well I know H has but the others well?

No, they live too far away for that. Last year they didn't even send a text message and they don't bother on his birthday either.

I feel like saying they should be grateful that they have their dad as I'd give anything to give my dad another card, but I just stay out of it.

Hubby won't be getting a card from our daughter as he has told her not to bother and he would be annoyed if she did. He's not a card person at all.

Have to say that I would never send him a card from the dogs - he'd be sending for the men in white coats if I did!

I've bought one for son from the twins and as they're only 9 months old, I've painted their hands with black poster paint and put their hand prints as their signature. x

Aww thats a lovely thing to do Lesley, your Son will be over the moon.

Dobby, Teide & Latch have a card ready for hubby and there's a cards and pressies from my girls too. They always get him cards that say "you're like a Dad to me" and it means so much to him.

All that said, he's away with the "boys" on a golfing trip and after his drunken calls and texts last night, he's in my bad books!!! [:D]

Dave has a card from his son and daughter, but no gifts. He just wouldn't bother with anything at all if it were left to him.

This is the 2nd fathers day with out my dad and would give anything to give him a card and a hug today. I am rather cross with my daughters and step daughters as not one of them have brought their dad a card! I didn't say any thing to him hoping he wouldn't realise the what the day is (he has dementia) but he asked me if it was fathers day.

I just hope my daughters won't regret not giving him a card.

I know exactly how you feel Jan - it's 11 years since I lost my dad and I still get choked up when I see the cards and presents in the shops.

Dave got a text from his youngest son which surprised me.

That was good Skip!

We have had my parents across for lunch today and daughter phoned up to speak to her grandad. He was well chuffed!

Hubby had cards from his two kids, but he really doesn't care if he has a card or not.

I bought a card yesterday from the twins for their Daddy and put their handprints inside, he loved it so much....priceless he said.

I've had 10 here for Sunday Lunch and am now enjoying the peace and quiet as believe me that was hard work! x
