We have been in our IVA since 2012, I had another child in 2016, hence the delay as there was a lack of communication between us both and this resulted in our IVA going on longer than originally predicted. We continued to make payments throughout, albeit not a revised higher figure but CIC's had not been factored in so we continued to pay original lower amount. We were told back in May to stop making payments and then when I called the customer services team for about the fourth time in August after talking previously to a few not so helpful team members who gave me worrying and unclear information, I got through to someone in the review team who was marvellous!!! He remembered liaising with me whilst he was part of customer services and took it upon himself to ensure that our changes of circumstances from two and half years ago were recalculated and that our over payments and the fact that we were over the agreed time were also factored in to get our case over to closures. We were before this in breach, as our account showed a shortfall of payments of @4k, and were told that our case would more than likely have to go the creditors to see if they would accept....worrying times. This guy (angel in disguise) managed to get the insolvency practitioner to finalise our case in house and we have now been told with the closures team. I chased last week and was emailed back to say that our funds were currently being divided amongst our creditors before completion certificate issued. So happy and relieved that we are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel after nearly eight years.....just wondering if it is now going to be straight forward (fingers crossed) and what to expect....once with the closures team are we literally on the home straight....?I just want to have that completion certificate in my hands..... #beensuchalongjourney #lightattheendofthetunnel

The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires, but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively.

It is great when you find a diamond / angel. I was with Garnt Thornton ( before they became Aperture) and they were bl**dy hopeless ... until I found Karol, who sorted everything when my marriage went south, leaving me a single parent to a 6 year old and we could no longer maintain the IVA. I am glad that you found yours !
