I’m with credit fix too. And they have been great so far. Yes I changed from Natwest to Barclays and did the 7 day switch. I did ask about cancelling the direct debits to all my creditors but been told to wait till my decision at the meeting. Hopefully they accept next week so I can cancel straight away and not pay £600 to my creditors in 3 weeks time.
Have you cancelled any of your direct debits to creditors yet?

Debt relief order?
They mentioned to a few options but advised this was the best route which I agreed to. I have a sick feeling it’s definitely being declined as the debt is large and the repayments a month are small but that’s whats been put forward with a show of my earnings etc.
What is a debt relief order may I ask? If I’m declined with they automatically put me on one or bankrupt me without asking? As that’s my fear
DRO --- have a read here: https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/debt- ... ef-orders/

Your disposable income, as calculated by CF is around £90 --- if you could get that down to under £50 a DRO might have been a better option. Of course there might be reasons why it was discounted as I am not aware of the full picture.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Has your new bank set up the direct debits for your Natwest loans? When i did the switch from banks all my loans were there as direct debits. But not my credit card as I didn’t have it set up as direct debit I used to pay within my Natwest app.
Maybe worth a ring and asking why they haven’t taken the payments? I’m unsure why they haven’t.

Once your IVA has been accepted then Nat West cannot take anymore money from you. HSBC did that to me - took the money out and then put it back and charged me for it!

As I’m waiting for my meeting until that answer I still have to pay the direct debits? I haven’t cancelled any of mine until credit fix tells me it’s been accepted or not.
If accepted then straight away can I cancel the direct debits?
I am a little confused by this.. as my IP said my first payment day would be 6th of September. But I don’t understand if my meeting is next week and gets accepted? Then I wouldn’t have to pay for next months direct debits to all my creditors would I? As the IVA is accepted? So I could cancel them straight after if it’s a yes surely?
Sorry if makes no sense

Yes you can - your creditors will know when it is accepted. I cancelled all of mine before my meeting just to accumulate a bit of a contingency fund before the IVA started.

Oh did you? Did you start receiving any calls of letters as that’s my fear if I cancel now when next payments are due on the 7th & 8th of next month. As I did call and ask if I can cancel them now and they said I haven’t got long to wait now so my choice as it’s down to my discretion if I do.
So I’m left confused thinking maybe I’ll wait cause if they say no then I’m in big trouble cancelling them all.

Yes I did get calls and letters. You can refuse to answer security questions so they can't go any further. If you have online banking, go in and remove your phone details.

I changed my banks from Natwest to Barclays as advised to.
And I still have my banking app with Natwest even though my account is closed down now I still check at the loans and credit card part.
Will it say on my banking app with Natwest my details I’ll have a look and try remove them if I can.
