That was what I was going to ask actually. If I can do that straight away as when last spoken to my IP he says the first payment be 6th of September but that means there’s a month or even more gap between this Friday if accepted to September. Surely they would want a payment sooner than that?
Will definitely clarify with my IP when he calls whatever the outcome is.

Don't worry Jessie - if it is accepted your creditors can do nothing.

You could possibly agree a debt management plan to give you some breathing space while to reconsider your next steps --- but, let's hope it won't come to that. Best of luck with your meeting tomorrow.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

If it doesn't go through and you do not fit the criteria for a DRO then it might be worthwhile exploring Bankruptcy as an alternative.

To be honest bankruptcy is the last thing I want to to do and I don’t want to go down that route to be honest. If my Iva gets cancelled I’d rather struggle and just pay the normal payments I’ve done for the past few years with my creditors than that route. Praying this Iva gets accepted as that’s the only route at the moment I want to take.

You can always consider a DMP. Is there any reason BR is not an option?

No real reason for me the thought of declaring bankruptcy isn’t what I’d like to do id rather not and try find a different route. I’ve stated this to my IP Id feel more comfortable in a iva which he agreed with.

Hopefully it will be ok but BR is not as bad these days and you would be discharged in 12 months and possibly have to make payments for three years.

I’m not really aware of the whole BF thing for me it sounds quite scary and don’t know to much about it all. For me I hear that writes off all yours debts for a fee but your then everyone and anyone knows you declared BF as I don’t really want that to happen. My fault of course but I have a stable job and unsure if that would be affected.
Fingers crossed tomorrow iva goes my way I’m more and happy to accept modifications whether extra time added or maybe a higher amount to be paid. Really counting on creditfix to help me out

Just received this email does this look good news or just the normal email they send out the day before?

Dear Jessica,

As you are aware your meeting of creditors' is tomorrow.

At this present time everything is progressing as we would expect. We will contact you tomorrow to discuss the outcome, to talk you through the next steps and what you can expect from Creditfix during the coming years.

Once your IVA is approved...
Assets like your car and home will be protected
Phone calls and letters from your creditors will cease after an administration period of up to 12 weeks’
You'll make one affordable monthly payment which we will distribute to your creditors

Kind regards,

Creditfix | Creditor Meeting Team

Firstly - nobody will know if you are bankrupt as it is not put in the papers anymore. All of your unsecured debts are written off. If you have any assets such as a house it will be looked at by the Official Receiver.

The email sounds positive so hopefully you will get a yes tomorrow. You will be on the Insolvency Register and it will show up on your credit records.
