Personally I would go with a smaller to medium firm, who will see me as an individual, rather than the IVA factories, who will regard me as a statistic.
Important things to find out:
Do they charge any up front fees -- most do not: If they do, hang up.
If you need to, can you speak directly with the IP ?
If you are a home-owner: Exactly how do they work out equity -- get a written example.
If you are self employed : Do they have experience of dealing with self emplyed applicants and HMRC.
