This was sent around from Thomas Cook Holidays - listing some of the guests complaints during the season. Some people should not be allowed to go on holiday!!!!!

"I think it should be explained in the brochure that the local store does not sell proper biscuits like custard creams or ginger nuts."

"It's lazy of the local shopkeepers to close in the afternoons. I often needed to buy things during 'siesta' time - this should be banned."

"On my holiday to Goa in India , I was disgusted to find that almost every restaurant served curry. I don't like spicy food at all."

"We booked an excursion to a water park but no-one told us we had to bring our swimming costumes and towels."

A tourist at a top African game lodge overlooking a waterhole, who spotted a visibly aroused elephant, complained that the sight of this rampant beast ruined his honeymoon by making him feel "inadequate".

A woman threatened to call police after claiming that she'd been locked in by staff. When in fact, she had mistaken the "do not disturb" sign on the back of the door as a warning to remain in the room.

"The beach was too sandy."

"We found the sand was not like the sand in the brochure. Your brochure shows the sand as yellow but it was white."

A guest at a Novotel in Australia complained his soup was too thick and strong. He was inadvertently slurping the gravy at the time.

"Topless sunbathing on the beach should be banned. The holiday was ruined as my husband spent all day looking at other women."

"We bought 'Ray-Ban' sunglasses for five Euros (£3.50) from a street trader, only to find out they were fake."

"No-one told us there would be fish in the sea. The children were startled."

"It took us nine hours to fly home from Jamaica to England it only took the Americans three hours to get home."

"I compared the size of our one-bedroom apartment to our friends' three-bedroom apartment and ours was significantly smaller."

"The brochure stated: 'No hairdressers at the accommodation'. We're trainee hairdressers - will we be OK staying here?"

"There are too many Spanish people. The receptionist speaks Spanish. The food is Spanish. Too many foreigners."

"We had to queue outside with no air conditioning."

"It is your duty as a tour operator to advise us of noisy or unruly guests before we travel."

"I was bitten by a mosquito - no-one said they could bite."

"My fiancé and I booked a twin-bedded room but we were placed in a double-bedded room. We now hold you responsible for the fact that I find myself pregnant. This would not have happened if you had put us in the room that we booked."
If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else’s, we’d grab ours back.

Funds paid to date accepted as F&F 16th August 2013, the wait for completion begins.
Wait over....certificate recieved 3rd May 2014

My sister in law is a Blue Badge Tour Guide, she took a group of Americans to Widsor Castle who thought they were there to have lunch with the Queen once she explained to them they were visiting the Castle and the Queen was not in residence they all said they would complain to the tour organisers as they had paid to have lunch with the Queen. It turned out that there lunch was booked at a pub the Queens Head (not sure if that was the actual name)

On a Royality theme my brother was a trainee newspaper reporter and was cover the Queens visit to the town. Part of the tour involved the Queen having tea with an elderly lady in sheltered accommomdation. The Queen was tring to find something to say the lady and commenng on a tea set in a cabinet. The lady said yes it is nice I only use it on special occassions!!

Very good and I'm sure some people don't think before they complain, it just comes natural to them. x

We've all had a good laugh at those and I'm sure of us have met some of those people.

I'm afraid that I wouldn't last five minutes as a tour rep!

My brother-in-law's friend always used to take a suitcase full of food when they went to Spain self catering. Bacon, coffee, tea, beans etc, etc!

One thing that really winds me up when I am away somewhere like Spain, is the amount of Engish pubs and cafes! When I go abroad I want to eat local food, not the same sort of stuff I can get here

Kallis I could not agree more!! I am shocked by how people go half way around the World and get something from say McD's they can get at home.

I go away to immerse myself in something different and try different food.

Well Luke and Kallis I'm your worst nightmare! I have a limited diet as I'm a freaky eater and have to eat English food, I won't try anything new and I remember once going to Turkey and living for a fortnight on crisps and bread rolls as I'm sure the food was delicious but no English and not one chip! I don't eat this and I don't eat that and it can actually be very embarrassing and I really wish I wasn't like this. x

Yeah I'll let you off lesley cos it's a condition of sorts you seem to have, for most people it's just plain being boring and ignorant lol.

My best mate is like you, he hates cheese, cream, butter, curry, fruit, most veg, pasta, garlic. Basically all the things I love so when he comes round for tea it's a nightmare. I have to do plain Steak and Chips which is DULL DULL DULL!!!

Some people don't understand it's a condition but it is and it's a pain to be sociable and I never go out to Chinese, to Indians to Italians anywhere really that's not a chip shop. I'm a nightmare and my hubby does most of the cooking and does all nice things for him and daughter and I'll have whatever, no wonder I have a weight problem. x
