I have just paid my final payment to Creditfix. I called them a few days later about the closure process and they have told me it will take 6 months to close my account and also gave COVID excuses. Reading other threds on the internet it usually takes about 6-8 weeks. i want to know why i was told 6 months .

It can take up to six months, and it's not just CF. Covid does play a big part at the moment, plus Christmas was also in the mix. They may not have had many staff in the office.

6 months is the standard time scale written into the IVA terms .... actually only a few firms take the full 6 months, many, as you say, do it in a few weeks. In fact CF was one of the faster firms up until the present troubles with staffing and isolations.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
