Is it a variation decision you are waiting on?

Assuming it is, you should have your answer within about 5 weeks assuming no adjournment is necessary (3 weeks to call a meeting with 2 weeks notice) .

Check the variation terms of your IVA and then challenge your IP if they are past the deadlines. Make a formal complaint and escalate here if necessary:

It does vary from company to company, with most taking a couple of months. A few take weeks and a couple take upwards of 6 months and it is largely down to how proactive and organised the firm is.

Think of it as a Bum doesn't know what the Elbow is sort of situation! I think it is down to total disorganisation and disregard for the OP as a person rather than just a case number. Some firms are great, the majority though need to work harder at customer care and closures especially need to be made faster as this is seen by the OP as the final nail in the debt coffin.
Mine took 6 months.
