I finished my iva 2 months ago. Now I am getting letters from LC Asset Sàrl saying they have bought my accounts. Why would they buy them when I have finished the iva and am awaiting my letter of completion. Thanks

Debts are often sold on to debt collectors in auction style "job lots" and the purchaser doesn't even know if some are covered by an IVA --- as they pay pennies for each loan they take that risk (A bit like buying warehouse returns from eBay!).
Just tell them that the debts they have purchased have been written off in an IVA -- they might want to see a copy of the IVA and the completion paperwork, but they are bound by the IVA and cannot pursue the debt.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

It does happen - agree with Foggy and tell them to do one.

Hi
Thanks for the quick replies.
The letters do state that they know I am in an iva and they are just for information. So i guess i will ignore them. Thanks again! :D
