I entered into a 5 year IVA in October 2009 and received the completion certificate in February 2015. I am cash buying a reduced in value property in April 2018, completing some underpinning work and then looking to remortgage the property in November 2018. The property will worth around £95K by then so will be looking to get an £85K mortgage to pay back family who've lent us some money and complete the rest of the works needed for the house. Will the past IVA affect any of this plan?

It will depend on which lenders youi approach and their own criteria regarding past IVAs. I would suggest a chat with either Ryan or Shaun, whose details can be found in the list on this link:

They are in yellow towards the bottom of the list.

Hi Mark. It may affect your choice of lenders and limit your options in some areas but what you describe should be possible, depending on your other circumstances.
