I was in rented accommodation throughout my IVA without any issues, it would be difficult to rent somewhere new during it though as you would fail any credit checks.
Your rent, as agreed with your IP and creditors will be part of your allowed living expenses and, so, you will be able to continue paying rent as normal. As magicsam says, tough, getting a new rented property would be difficult, but not impossible, during the IVA as your credit files will be wrecked for 6 years from the start of the IVA.
