will getting married effect my IVA ?

I will be getting married soon and would like to know if this will effect my iva, all my debt built up before I met my future husband so would like to know if it would affect him as it shouldnt in my eyes

I assume you will be living together but your husband income will only be assessed to ensure you both pay a fair share of household expenditure.

I would advise him to keep a seperate bank account from you to try and maintain a healthy credit record.

If there are no financial links between you it should not affect his credit file. Your IVA should not be affected unless there is a material change in circumstances but you should advise your IP anyway of the change in name.
