Hi Chrissie and welcome.
First off when you speak of bailiffs, is this court appointed, or are you referring to debt collectors appointed by your creditors?
There is a big difference, hence the reason for the question.
If your creditors have transfered your debt to a DCA, then a visit from their representative is nothing to worry about. Simply explain that your are proposing an IVA. If it is a court appointed bailiff, then this is more serious has they have powers, which a DCA rep does not posses.
Basically once your creditors meeting has taken place, and assuming your IVA is approved, then all pending action against you in relation to your debt is terminated and no further action can be pursued in relation to your debt via the courts or otherwise.
