Hi. I'm currently looking at an IVA, however I'm still on the mortgage with my ex while the divorce is going through. Will this effect my ex and the mortgage and will they find out?

Any joint finances will have an impact on your ex's credit record. If you get an IVA, your mortgage provider will be informed and a marker may be put on your ex's file.

The only thing that will appear on his file will be that he has a financial association with you. This will only impact his credit worthiness if the potential lender then goes on to check your credit file, if authorised to do so. https://www.experian.co.uk/consumer/gui ... ation.html
