Hi I was wondering if anyone can help answer a few questions. I entered an IVA in 2012. This dropped off my credit files and the register in September 2018. Me and partner are looking to buy our first home around the middle of next year. We will have a 10% deposit. Will that be enough? Also will I be able to get an ok rate from a high street lender. My partners history is fine. I'm just worried my past issues will prevent us from buying a home togethether. We are both in well paid jobs Any help is appreciated. Thanks

You have every chance of getting a loan from a High Street lender, at High Street rates but, as Kallis suggest, I would advise you go to a broker with experience in adverse credit, as approaching the wrong lender will stain that new squeaky clean credit record. Some lenders will ask, some will not, and some don't care, whereas a few will refuse for ever!
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Morning all,
Thank you for recommending myself guys.
Natedrake - This is certainly something we could help you with, we have helped numerous people obtain mortgages after an IVA, even with only a 5% deposit, and at high street interest rates. I would be more than happy to look in to this when you are ready
