Hi... I’ve been through the IVA process, it was begun late 2010/early 2011, and ended in June 2016. I’ve recently been accepted for a job with a large bank, as an Intermediary New Lending Specialist (working with mortgage brokers with queries relating to mortgage applications). Since the offer I’ve been asked to fill a background screening check. I’m concerned that the IVA, albeit completed, may adversely affect my application. I will obviously be upfront about it, but my question is whether or not this may result in the offer being withdrawn?
It depends on the particular bank's policies --- personally I would think it would make you a better advisor, having been there and worn the tee-shirt!
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires, but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively.

Does the new potential employer have an HR dept you could have an informal chat with? The iva may not be an issue, it may not even need to be mentioned.
Good luck.

Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.

Depends on how the question is asked .. if it asks have you been in an iva then you would need to be upfront and say "yes", if it's are you in then that's a "No"
In theory it should be fine as its past, but like others have suggested a word with the HR team may be beneficial.
