my son got into debt and an iva before being diagnosed with serious ADHD. The iva was recently written off when Payplan received written advice from his GP. Will the iva remain on his records in these circumstances and prevent him getting help from his bank in the form of a seperate business account. He is a self employed plumber, currently only allowed one bank account that is a confused mess of business and domestic affairs

It will remain on his credit record for six years from the time he took it out. It should have been removed from the Insolvency Register by now.
