Hello,

This is my first post after being made redundent etc on numerrous occasions we decided that an IVA would be the best way forward. We are using DFD, I am concerned that I have recently become self employed as in the last month, my husband is also self employed but has been for sometime. I know that DFD are currently checking our details to see if we are suitable, I am wondering if there is any reason why we shouldnt be, only that I cant prove my fuure income as yet! can anyone help me out please

Hi Mrs G and welcome to the forum.

We do have a poster from DFD on the forum who may pick up on this and advise.

Unfortunately, I can't help with whether or not you will be suitable.

If your hubby's name is on the child's account then I would move it asap.

Hi Mrs G - I just asked a question today re Childrens savings accounts - I think I am going to move mine as our names are also on the accounts and the bank in question is a creditor - better to be safe than sorry. We are having our proposal put together at the moment - hold tight there will be a solution for you

Are DFD actually doing any self-employed cases now Declan?
