Not a single missed call from a creditor all day yesterday and up to now today...must be a change in tactics afoot, me thinks..Or maybe they are just regrouping before a complete all out `phone bombardment`...

Hi Goosed,

Are you in an IVA?

We are in the process of proposing an IVA through Melanie, and to date you can count on one hand how many of our creditors have telephoned us chasing payment.

We stopped paying our creditors over 13 weeks ago; yes we have had the letters, but apart from that very very few phone calls.

I did take the advice given by Kallis, that you should change your contact numbers on your online accounts with your creditors. Im sure that has played a part, along with choose to refuse and anonymous caller reject from BT.

Not long now for us, before we either get our IVA proposal accepted or have to resort to Plan B - BR.

Gd luck.

Hi Sinkingfast, sorry I didn`t reply to your post last night, but I`d gone to work. No I`m not in an IVA, I`m nearly four weeks into the draft proposal stage, and it`s the same amount of time since I stopped paying my creditors. I actually work nights so I have my phone on silent 95% of the time, but each day when I have risen from my slumber, for three weeks, there have been messages and missed calls from Barclaycard mostly...then nothing for two days now, spooky.
Good luck with your IVA proposal, I`m sure all will go well and you`ll soon have peace of mind and be able to start getting back on track...Keep us posted

I think it probably depends on who your creditors are, some acknowledge your situation, in my case I heard next to nothing from NR, RBS, Egg.

The most vocal were Barclaycard (aka the Gestapo), MBNA.

Middle of the road were Sainsbury's bank and Nationwide.

We had quiet periods and times when Barclaycard put us on hold for 7, 14 days but they will return with avengance, hold tight and ride the storm.

Good luck with your proposals guys.

Are creditors are Egg, Halifax, M&S, Barclaycard, First Direct, AMEX, CapitalOne and NR.

FD and Halifax have been active with the letter writing, apart from that the rest are relatively quiet.

We are hoping Melanie can work her magic, as our dividend is pretty low.

Hi Sinking Fast

Mel will work very hard to get your IVA through both Mel and her team come highly recommended on here and they will endeavour to get you the best result they possibly can.

Helen I have two weeks off in June and I had nothing to look forward to but my friends who run a bar in Malta have said we can crash with them for a week so I just had to get cheap ryanair flights to get there and no accomodation costs so I am going to Malta for a week in June woop woop!!!

Well excited I so need a holiday work has been so stressful and I feel like singing and dancing and going mad

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

You'll be fine with Mel SF - she has a brilliant acceptance rate.

Dave - have a fantastic holiday in Malta.
