I think winter fuel payments are classed as winter fuel payments and should be used to keep warm, not to give a little extra to your creditors!!!

Hi there n welcome to the forum.

In my understanding this is regarded in the form of receiving a benefit to benefit you not the creditors.
As it is in place to benefit you in the winter months - do hope its not as cold as the last one.
A windfall is in the form of a large win on the lottery (we all wish n prey!) or inheritance.

The winter fuel payments are exempt as they are for help with your winter bills.

Your IP won't want to know about it.
