Hi All - looking some help - currently in a 5 years IVA = 2 years in paying £250 pm (£6000 paid in) - so £9,000 to go - have the the potential of obtaining £4000 from a family member and was wondering if this would be enough for a F&F to be accepted - any help would be greatly appreciated

I would say that £4k was a little light and, in your shoes, would offer in the region of £7k - 7.5k, assumig you are not a homeowner. But I have seen low offers accepted before and it is, ultimately, down to your creditors.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Possibly not as it is a bit on the low side but always worth proposing.

If they say no you continue on as normal and perhaps try again once the balance is a bit lower.
