In common with many other posters on here, me and Mrs Torch,(sorry, grammar, slap my wrist), my wife and i, are just starting out on our IVA journey.
As a marker, we are looking forward to the London Olympics 2012, when, hopefully, all our payments will be made, unless i win the lottery, but i have probably got more chance of waking up with a full head of hair!, and notwithstanding (not a bad word for a council house boy eh?) an extra year in lieu of an equity release.
I was musing about other events we may have to look forward to in the next 5 years.
some that spring to mind are:
at least one general election.
world cup 2010, england get knocked out in the last 16 again, Wales fail to qualify again,(sorry Mrs Torch and Melanie[B)])
The UK finish in the bottom 3 in another 5 eurovision song contests.
My birth home team of AFC Telford make it into the premiership, and meet my adopted home side of Hereford United in the FA Cup final
Russell Brand is revealed as the love child of kenneth williams and dot cotton.
(some of the above may be untrue, and even libelous)
what are other posters looking forward to?.

What am I looking forward to? Hmmmm, Man Utd winning another 5 Premiership titles, my home club of Staines Town actually progressing from the Ryaman's League (more chance Alan Smith asking me to marry him!), England not qualifying for Euro 2008 (so hopefully we'll get a decent manager!), me getting a new job (pleeeeeease!) and hopefully everyone on here successfully completing their IVA's and IPA's.

Oh and me losing 2 stone - I might manage it in 5 years!

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.

stand up if you hate man u (sorry, i was in the telford branch of the red devils supporters club 25 years ago, but now they just turn me off, along with most of the pampered preening premiership players, rant over.), i'm sure you deserve someone better than a soon to be out of work alan smith. good luck to staines, good luck with the weight loss and new job.
three cheers for a new england manager NOW!.how can he stay there when in his heart he knows he was second choice behind big phil. my pride wouldnt let me take the job in the first place.

it does seem a long way off doesn't it, but when you look back at events that took place 5 years ago the time passes more quickly than you would like.

I totally agree with you about the pampered players - I think it's obscene that John Terry has just spent £1m on his wedding (subsidised by Hello or OK of course). I still wouldn't say no to Smudger though!

Steve McLaren is only in the job as he is another FA yes man. I hate to say it, but it will be a good thing if England don't qualify as surely the FA will HAVE to sack him. Thing is, who'd want the job?!?

Hi

Very good post for the end of a hard week!

As for Telford well we all need a dream to keep us going don't we!

The best football experience for me was when mty team Wycombe got to the FA cup semi final against Liverpool after beating Leicester who were in the Premiership. Great moment at Villa Park!

Last season we once again had our moments in the Carling Cup by beating Fulham, Charlton, and drawing with Chelsea!

Hearing our fans "Premiership your'e having a laugh2 was great!

At least you can afford to watch Telford without upsetting the budget for the IVA. After all you are playing some former good league sides!

Looking at Wycombe's fixture list we are going to be playing all our away matches up North!

Hope Telford beat Oxford this season they go mad when they lose now and for us little wycombe fans causes us a lot of amusement.

Take care!

Ray
