Hi tom
Some creditors are more quicker than others when it comes to taking legal action.
How many payments have you missed?

I was told by my adviser that it takes around a year, but it may be earlier if no communication or effort to address the debt is made by the debtor. Or if there are obcious assets that they might be able to secure the debt to.

Despite being informed of my intention of seeking IVA American express obtained it in less than,I think two months.
They are extreely unhelpful and hand over the matter very quickly to their Solictors Brachers, who are not Sympathetic either.

I got one from NRock VERY quickly, about 2-3 months, there is absolutely no reasoning with them at all. They just do not care about the circumstances, I have been instructed to pay £32,000 FORTHWITH, yikes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
