i am already in an IVA which i have been for 14 months,i am getting confused because i am getting other information from other debt help people that because i am on state benefits only i ought not to be paying to an IVA,is this true?

The fact that you have an IVA would seem to suggest that the advice your are getting from the "debt help people" is actually rubbish!!!
Are you happy to continue with the IVA - and if so why are you taking advice from such a company?

Hi
why should someone be excluded from an IVA because they are on state benefit ? You have as much right as anyone to try and repay your debts to the best of your ability through an IVA.
As long as you are coping financially I can,t see a problem.
